Perfection for Goodness Sake!
Perfection – its’ what the world wants. Has someone ever asked you if you were good? Did you have any idea how to answer that? It may depend on what your understanding of good and perfect was. Many people are still under the illusion that they can climb that ladder without any help from above. Some people use that factor to separate themselves from everyone else. Nevertheless, the truth is, we are all in the same boat as far as perfection goes. Jesus was asked that once. I believe he asked the person, “Why do you call me good? Only God is good.” Although there is much more to his statement, that is still true. So, what is it for the believer? The believer is not suddenly perfect or good. The believer in Jesus Christ has salvation because of their faith. By God’s standard of goodness and perfection, none of us meets the bar. In fact, Romans 3:23 says, “…for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” It also leaves no room to be judgmental of others. We will all one day give an account for what we did or didn’t do with our opportunities regarding the Son of God, whether that is simply accepting the grace offered through Jesus or continuing to follow and grow in the faith. Some refer to the grace found in Christ as cheap. It was by no means cheap and we by no means have the right to judge whom Christ should save or not? The way I see it, Christ offer is there for whosoever. “For whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16. It is God who judges the heart and cannot be fooled as to who belongs to Him and who does not. When we entertain thoughts as to if God should save this person or that, we are no better than the rest of the world playing the game of good and evil, perfect and not perfect. What is perfection? It is nothing if not defined by God himself.

Created in Serif's "CraftArtist", I was able to combine the various backgrounds and embellishments in the program to create a digital layout depicting my own style. I am sure you can do the same. Having lots of fun with it.
