Concho Fasteners
Concho fasteners are used in many different ways, with belts, necklaces, and more. These studs come in many different shapes and sizes and fit into many different crafts. They are common in particular among Native American belongings. These fasteners have been used as belt fasteners, industrial fasteners, steel fasteners and chrome fasteners. They are made out of leather in the shapes of the alphabet for personalizing belts, wallets and other accessories.
The point is that these fasteners in the shapes of heart conchos, or called stud fasteners for upholstery, are decorative and can be used, as such, on the scrapbooking page. The teeth of these fasteners can grab onto paper, fabric, metal and more, allowing them to connect, adhere and adorn multiple elements.

In the case of this belt, the manner of attaching one to the other was to hook one to the other. Fastening mechanisms can be screws or rivets. Again, in the case of scrapbooking, the metal fasteners have teeth to grab onto the surface to which it is attached.Following are steps to attaching such an embellishment: Step One: Place your cardstock over a flexible surface, such as a computer pad, and place the fastener as desired. (If you are using them to frame an accent, adhere the accent to the background first to keep it from shifting.) Step Two: Push the embellishment straight down until it punches completely through the cardstock. Step Three: Flip the cardstock over and use a popsicle stick or bone folder to bend each prong toward the center. A couple variations can include the fastener or nailhead to double as frames for tiny photos and embellishments, or used as faux type-writer keys mounted over a letter stamp or sticker. Fill them with a dimensional glaze and allow to dry.
