Pockets

Pockets full of posies!! Make folders on the scrapbooking page. Already made or from scratch. Take a look at your options. If you buy them, they can come in many different forms. You will want to use acid free mounting paper inserts for putting them in your album.

It is usually on the back cover that a pouch has been created to hold what is left of the photos not used in the rest of the album, but they can be placed anywhere.

If you decide to purchase one already made, then you should be able to find them in places like Michaels, Wal-Mart, or any specialty scrapbooking store.

Some people have made them for report cards, brochures, the kids school yearbooks to keeping track of what is desired on each particular page before your work is done. Ultimately, they are good for when you don't want to have to use an adhesive to tack everything on the page down.

To make one of these gizmos, take two pieces of cardstock or one cardstock and one paper, cut one paper in half, and secure the two sides and bottom only to the cardstock. Do not secure the top because that is where your opening will be.

If you want to see through it, use vellum for the front position of your project. Reinforce your page item with the use of brads or eyelets around the two sides and bottom of your page.

Fabric is another medium used to scrapbook your projects with. If you are going to throw out an old garment anyway, save the extra fabric pieces for your project later. This is a good way to recycle as well. Possibly some sturdy fabrics would be broadcloth and canvas.
