Watch Crystals
Watch crystals, whether glass or plastic, cover not only our time-pieces but can be used as mini-picture frames and more. Look up a little history. See what you can do now.
These crystals are the covering of the face of one’s watch, regardless of style. I have had numerous watches in my life. Pocket-watches became popular in the 1600s. Glass was used to cover the face beginning around 1610.
When making scrapbooking projects, crystals or covers are a great way to come up with an instant shaker or to show off small photos, pre-made accents or other scrapbooking embellishments.
Placing accents beneath the glass or plastic is definitely a way to call attention to them. Just make sure you haven’t overdone the adhesive.

Here is how to keep your accent clear as crystal:
First Step: Flip the crystal over with the rim facing off.
Second Step: Using a fine-tipped applicator or a toothpick, apply a clear-drying liquid adhesive sparingly around the rim.
Third Step: Press, carefully, onto the background and hold firmly for a few seconds.
Fourth and Final Step: Use a toothpick or embossing stylus to remove excess adhesive that has spilled from the sides.

A play on words almost, above is an example of how the whole time-piece crystal phenomenon can be used. Pictures, shaker boxes and in this case, a mini bracelet shadowbox.
